In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden group.
The questline centers on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will receive an unique katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
