I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
